Scottish Electric Group are excited to be working alongside Balfour Beatty and look forward to commencing the Mechanical and Electrical works on the new Dundee Train Station Hotel.
The £28m railway station is being constructed as part of the £1 billion redevelopment of the entire Waterfront site by Dundee City Council.
The six-storey development will include a triple height ground floor incorporating a passenger concourse, ticketing facilities, a café/restaurant and retail space and three additional floors above the concourse to accommodate a new 120 bedroom Sleeperz hotel.
The new station has been built on the site of the existing concourse which is a 1960s extension to the original Victorian station buildings. The building has been designed to create an impressive new landmark within the Central Waterfront development and as an attractive new gateway into the city for rail passengers.
Works are due to be completed by December 2017. This project secured further works in the Dundee area for the SEG staff and operatives throughout 2017 and allows ourselves to establish a healthy order book for 2018.
Look out for further updates!
